Removal of boats from the State of Florida prior to hurricane season

   Ten years ago, we never thought our customers would want or need this service, but changing conditions mandate a change in all our thinking. That service is the removal of boats from the State of Florida prior to hurricane season. If your boat is moored in Florida, or elsewhere in the hurricane path, we advise that you check with your insurance agent and verify that your policy fully covers your boat if you leave it in Florida and return to your northern home. Many policies exclude this coverage. Many other companies no longer offer boat and property insurance in the hurricane zone. We began to see this trend three years ago, and SEVERAL customers currently have standing schedules for our Lakeside Marine tractor trailers to transport their boats south for the winter and back north prior to June 1^st.  This assures their boats are out of harm’s way once they have finished enjoying them during the winter and ready for a beautiful Great Lakes summer of boating (not to mention it makes economic sense).

   To meet this expanding need, Lakeside Marine recently added another new state-of-the-art air ride trailer to our fleet, capable of transporting boats as large as the new Tiara 58 Sovran.
